Trump names Andrew Ferguson as head of Federal Commerce Fee to interchange Lina Khan

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday named Andrew Ferguson as the following chair of the Federal Commerce Fee.

He’ll change Lina Khan, who turned a lightning rod for Wall Avenue and Silicon Valley by blocking billions of {dollars}’ price of company acquisitions and suing Amazon and Meta whereas alleging anticompetitive conduct.

Ferguson is already one of many FTC’s 5 commissioners, which is at the moment made up of three Democrats and two Republicans.

“Andrew has a confirmed report of standing as much as Large Tech censorship, and defending Freedom of Speech in our Nice Nation,” Trump wrote on Reality Social, including, “Andrew would be the most America First, and pro-innovation FTC Chair in our Nation’s Historical past.”
