A Valrico man with a number of DUI arrests has been taken into custody once more for a DUI and baby abuse after he was pulled over along with his two children within the automotive, in line with the Polk County Sheriff’s Workplace.

46-year-old James Tompkins was pulled over by deputies on Friday evening after they mentioned he was driving on the eastbound shoulder of I-4.

Tompkins instructed the deputy that he was taking his children, 5 and eight, from Valrico to Disney World. He later mentioned he solely had “one bourbon combined drink.”

The deputy mentioned Tompkins had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech, swaying as he exited his crimson SUV.
