EAGLE LAKE, Fla. – A Haitian man, who deputies say was within the nation illegally, is accused of failing to scrub up an oil spill in Eagle Lake.
The backstory:
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Workplace say Eagle Lake Code Enforcement discovered a used oil spill at a house positioned at 890 Timberland Drive on Might 28.
They added that the oil streamed roughly 150 toes alongside the road to storm drains that finally drain into Lake McLeod and said that Alex Outten, 44, agreed to scrub it up.

On Might 29, a PCSO environmental crimes detective was contacted by Code Enforcement after they decided that Outten had not cleaned up the oil.
