“Susan Monarez is now not director of the Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention. We thank her for her devoted service to the American folks,” the U.S. Division of Well being and Human Providers wrote in an announcement posted on social media.
HHS officers didn’t clarify why Monarez is now not with the company.
Earlier than the announcement was made, Monarez informed The Related Press: “I can’t remark.”
The Washington Put up first reported she was ousted, citing unnamed sources inside the Trump administration.
