Jacqueline Enis is the brand new principal of Benito Center Faculty.
Enis began within the function on Sept. 16, after former principal Brent Williams was tapped to guide Franklin Boys Preparatory Academy Center Magnet Faculty in Tampa.
It was introduced on the college board assembly on Aug. 26 that Williams would start in his new function on Sept. 2. Hillsborough County Pubic Colleges officers then acted rapidly to interview candidates and appointed Enis to guide Benito, making the announcement on the Faculty Board assembly on Sept. 9.
Enis joins Benito after six years at neighboring Turner Bartels Okay-8 Faculty, the place she served because the assistant principal of curriculum.
Previous to that, Enis had served as assistant principal of curriculum at Farnell Center Faculty since 2013. She started her profession with Hillsborough County Public Colleges in 2001, when she taught ESE language arts and studying and served as a studying coach.
Enis says the transition to taking the reins at Benito has gone easily.
“It’s completely superior,” she says. “I like the neighborhood and I like what we’re doing for college kids. I’m completely happy to proceed the legacy of those that got here earlier than me.”
Benito has been a powerful “A”-rated college for greater than twenty years. It has solely two “Bs” within the college’s historical past, with the final one coming in 2001, so Enis says she isn’t trying to make numerous modifications on campus.

Benito PTSA president Rob Taylor agrees with the scholars’ sentiments. “Whereas we miss Mr. Williams, we’re very excited to have Ms. Enis as our new principal,” Taylor says. “She appears on board with our objectives of planning enjoyable and thrilling actions, occasions and rewards for college kids, and doing every little thing we are able to for our wonderful lecturers.”
Enis says she’s completely happy to companion with the PTSA and volunteers on campus, and she or he likes to be accessible to folks.
