TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County State Legal professional’s Workplace says it has fired an assistant state legal professional after his arrest on youngster porn prices.

The backstory:
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Workplace says the investigation into William Jones, 32, started in July 2024 after detectives had been knowledgeable that recordsdata containing kids partaking in sexual acts had been being shared.
PCSO says investigators interviewed Jones on Wednesday, throughout which he admitted to viewing and transmitting the recordsdata.

The State Legal professional’s Workplace tells FOX 13 that Jones was employed in October 2021 after beforehand serving as an assistant state legal professional with the First Judicial Circuit within the Florida Panhandle.
Jones faces three counts of possession of kid pornography, three counts of transmission of kid pornography and two counts of transmission of dangerous materials to a minor.

“I’m deeply disturbed and sickened by Andrew Jones’ actions, and he was terminated from his place as an Assistant State Legal professional instantly following his arrest. As prosecutors, our responsibility is to guard the general public, particularly our youngsters. There isn’t any place on this workplace or neighborhood for this habits. I need to thank regulation enforcement for his or her essential work in figuring out and arresting youngster predators. Nobody is above the regulation, and this workplace won’t ever tolerate anybody who violates the belief of the individuals we serve.”
