MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – An injured child dolphin that had beached itself on a rock jetty at a Florida seashore is now recovering after being rescued by ocean rescue lifeguards on Saturday morning.

Ocean rescue lifeguards with the Miami-Dade Fireplace Rescue (MDFR) responded round 11:52 a.m. Saturday to stories of an injured child dolphin that had beached itself on a rock jetty at Haulover Seashore.
When lifeguards arrived on the scene, they discovered that the dolphin was unable to swim or proper itself. Officers imagine the newborn mammal was struck by a vessel.

The lifeguards had been capable of safely take away the dolphin from the rocks.
Lifeguards then transferred the dolphin to the care of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC).
