TAMPA – The twenty eighth annual Memorial Day Observance ceremony will happen at Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum on Sunday at 10 a.m.
Native Gold Star relations might be honored with “Backyard of Gold” pictorial flags and attendees might be greeted by an unlimited American flag hovering greater than 150 ft over the doorway to Veterans Memorial Park.
The celebration will honor veterans and their households who made the last word sacrifice.
Native perspective:
In attendance might be just a few particular friends: Col. Jeff J. Mrazik, Commander, sixth Operations Group, MacDill Air Drive Base, Retired U.S. Military Col. Alfred “Al” Carter, Chief of Workers, Florida Division of Veteran Affairs and Junior Reserve Officers’ Coaching Corps (JROTC).
A rifle salute and faucets may also be part of the ceremony.

Hillsborough County’s Veterans Memorial Park is open every day from 7 a.m. to five p.m., with free admission and parking.
