TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a loss of life warrant for the person convicted of killing a girl in a Tampa motel room and one other girl in California 30 years in the past.

The backstory:
Glen Edward Rogers, 62, killed Tina Marie Cribbs after the 2 have been seen leaving a bar in Gibsonton in November 1995. She was discovered stabbed to loss of life in a Tampa motel room two days later.

Rogers was convicted of homicide and sentenced to loss of life in 1997. He later obtained one other loss of life sentence in California in 1999 for the September 1995 homicide of Sandra Gallagher.
