DAVENPORT, Fla. – Three highschool college students are recovering from accidents after Polk County deputies say they had been caught within the crossfire throughout a shootout at a promenade after-party early Sunday.
What we all know:
In line with the Polk County Sheriff’s Workplace, a gaggle started taking pictures at one another shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday alongside Famagusta Dr. in Davenport.
A 17-year-old feminine and an 18-year-old male had been grazed by bullets, in accordance with deputies, whereas a 17-year-old male had particles in his eye.
The victims instructed deputies they had been sitting in a parked automobile when pictures had been fired. PCSO says they weren’t focused by the shooters.
Deputies say a number of individuals took off as regulation enforcement arrived on the scene, including that these individuals “don’t seem to need to cooperate with this investigation.”

PCSO says highschool promenade after-parties had moved to Davenport after they had been shut down at trip leases in Osceola County, then at Wawa on Osceola Polk Line Rd.

The principal of Osceola Excessive Faculty confirmed that the victims are college students there, releasing an announcement on Sunday evening that reads, partly: “At first, our hearts and ideas are with the scholars and households concerned. I’m extraordinarily grateful that every one three college students survived.”
The college may even have extra counselors on campus Monday, in accordance with the principal.
